Digital Detox
We have more and more information coming at us faster and faster, than ever before. How do we not dangerously over gorge on this info-obesity that is now the norm in today’s world?
Furthermore, according to our peers and colleagues; it is a much needed commodity to be abreast of the Weather, News, Politics, Culture and Arts, Information and Technology, Current Affairs, Social Media and so on.. Daily!
What are the psychological consequences of this?
Do we need digital Detoxes?
A Digital detox refers to a period of time during which a person refrains from using electronic connecting devices such as smartphones and computers. It is regarded as an opportunity to reduce stress or focus on social interaction in the physical world.
So, lets get ready to help ourselves and others remember that WHO they are is not what they do, and that FOMO, multi-tasking and burnout are not healthy ways to live. We have a collective responsibility to bring balance into the equation of daily life and provide people with the support, community and resources needed to stay grounded. This is a new chapter and creating healthy relationships with our technologies will determine the future of our humanity.
